The Haunted House

The story of the Oysterfleet farm house hauntings have gone on for 300 years. Two distinctive stories seem to survive today. One from 1709 the other from 1906. Similar stories to the 1906 still survive today but seem to suggest the story was concocted to get the vicar from the church so contraband could be removed. True or false? What do you think?
