This Events Calendar will be updated through out the year as information becomes available. This will mean you will always know where you can find us to talk to. Any questions please email us

Canvey Library

Our next library session is on the 8th December. If you have photos or documents you would like us to scan to add to our website or a story to tell please call in we would love to see you. 10-2pm

Our Meetings -  Everyone is welcome to come along. Doors open 2.15 unless otherwise stated on the day.

All meetings are at the War Memorial Hall, which is located on the corner of the High Street and Gills Avenue, the last Wednesday of the month mostly bi-monthly. See dates below. Refreshments available.

Dates for 2019

Please note entry from January 2019 will be £3.

30th January - 
 The Great Flood Exhibition and Film Show. Films featuring the flood will be showing continuously. Large exhibition featuring old photos, maps and newspapers from the era. Also some exhibits from the Dutch Flood Museum and the Environment Agency. Doors open 10.45. Entry £3. Refreshments available.

27th March - Graham Stevens and Rod Bishop - talk about Canvey High Street. Doors open 2.15pm.

29th May - John Whitehead - talks about Link Radio

31st July - Alan Jasper - talks about the B17 Collision at the Point

25 Sept - Memories Day. Large Exhibition of photos, postcards, newspapers, maps and film shows of Canvey's past. All the Echo Archive photos will be there well over 1,500 (1960s-1990s). Bring along your photos and/or documents for scanning. Doors open 10.45. Refreshments available.

27th Nov - Rose Griffin-Twidell - talk 'A History of Bowers Gifford'
