Canvey Rotary Raft Race

The Rotary Club of Canvey are organising their very first Charity Raft Race at Thorney Bay beach and we are inviting organisations and Companies to build their …own raft for a race across the bay. Entry will be £30-00 per raft and any money raised from individual sponsorship of the raft will be the nominated charity of the raft. Rotary will add prize money of £250 to the winners.

The race will take place on Sunday the 21st June at approximately 3pm when the tide will be most suitable for this kind of event. For rafts that have difficulties there will be rescue boats and crew available to help you safely back to the beach.
