Sue Howarth-Reading from Canvey's Coastwatch tells us a bit about the station in Holehaven and their plans for the future

Canvey's Coastwatch are taking over the old first aid post down the seafront and are hopeful they will be able to build a new three story station on the site.

We had a very enjoyable and informative talk by Sue Howarth-Reading from Canvey’s Coastwatch. We were first shown a film about the National Coastwatch then Sue followed on with more details about the history of our station in Holehaven and their plans for the future, in particular the old first aid post opposite the Monico which they are taking over and have plans to build a three story lookout on the site.

I am pleased to say we raised £60 to add to their funds.

Our next meeting is on November 26th at the War Memorial Hall 2-4pm.
