I understand this was Mace’s in Dovervelt Rd now Nearbys.

I lived in Laars Avenue, just round the corner from this store. It opened about 1970, or before. Ethel and Dave had it first when it was mace. I think Mrs. Bird had it next, then Melvin. the sub p.o, was added about then. it saved us many a walk into town as it stocked everything.
