Society of the Good Shepherd

The Convent

“The house had originally been built to accommodate sisters belonging to the Community of the Good Shepherd who settled on the island in the 1920s. From all accounts they were a faithful and hardworking band who would turn their hands to anything to help those in need and it was a struggle at times to keep the community solvent.”
