Perhaps appropriate for the time of year, this photo is of the mural in St Katherine’s Church (Heritage Centre). It will be known by many of you who attended the church before it closed in the 60s. It is still there although somewhat crowded by other artefacts. This photo was taken before the church closed.
The painting by H J A Miles in 1897 depicting Jesus shows actual Canvey folk.
