This old A H J Series postcard is dated on the front Aug 27, 1924. Unfortunately most of the detail in this picture is in the far distance, but you can see the Marlborough House, St Hughes (aka Riverside café) and you can just make out the outline of Beach House. I would think it was taken near Thorney Bay looking east.

Just looking at these pictures it is very noticeable as to how much Canvey was below the River Thames…….scary to say the least.!!
