We have been very fortunate to find this photo online. An original Canvey photo taken in September 1923.

Unfortunately we have no idea where it was taken or who the people are. But what a great insight into the era of buying a plot and coming down for weekends and holidays with your bell tent. The corrugated built kitchen, wooden outhouse to the right and is that a caravan or an old railway carriage?
