Pirate Party 1967

at the Haystack

Tewkes Yacht Club Pirates party was on the 23rd June 1967 in the Haystack Hotel.

The scrap book notes – ‘Tickets sold well but owing to a Thunderstorm on the night attendance was low’.

Perhaps they could not dock their pirate ship on the stormy night!

What a crew!! The pirates were Bill Lettice, Alan Kiln, Terry Burtonshaw, Marie Kiln and Albert Groom. The Damsel in distress was Dave Bell.
