These photos were taken in 1988. On the back of the photos it says Castle Point Council Refuse Team in action in the Canvey Island Point district. On the front it says Castle Point’s first refuse collector.
What exactly the story is we do not know. Is it the first female refuse collector as it seems to highlight Tean Enever who is here with Don MacKenzie and Peter Thomas.
