Tanker Crossing the Old Bridge

pre 1971

By Janet Penn

This photo of a tanker crossing the old bridge has just been sent in to me. Not sure about the date but obviously pre 1971. Has anyone got any ideas?

The pressure vessel on the back of the lorry resembles one of many installed at the construction of the methane terminal back in the early 1960's (I used to work there),and isn't the first word on it "METHANE"?

Ian is correct, the vessel is one of two Methane Evaporators used for turning the liquid gas back to a vapour.
