The Archive's Open Day

Canvey Community Archive are holding an ‘Open Day’ at the War Memorial Hall, Canvey High Street, on the 10th September from 10.30 till 4 pm.

Joining us will be  Transport Museum, Bay Museum, Heritage Centre, Cast and Crew, Carnival Association, Benfleet Community Archive, South Essex Amateur Radio, Bay Watch, 5th Canvey Air Scouts and lots more.

We will have a shop where you can buy Canvey postcards, our Flood DVD or large Canvey and Essex prints ready for framing.

There will be a continuous film and slide show. A large exhibition of Canvey photos.

Local author Robert Hallmann will be on hand to talk to you about his many books about the local area and about smuggling and ghosts.

Refreshments will be available.

Bring your photos and documents for scanning or make an appointment to tell one of our members your story for the Archive.

Join us on the day, help make Canvey History.   Entrance will be £2, children free.

The Archive is a Learning Destination for the Children’s University so bring your Passports with you.
