In the latter half of the 1950s my Dad, Aubrey, was agent for the General Steam Navigation Company, don't remember whether we sold tickets or it was just the rent for the advert on the wall of our Furtherwick shop (now the Indian restaurant on the corner of the one-way system) but I do have great memories of at least two subsidised or possibly FREE trips to France on the Royal Daffodil.
