Records show that Brian Castle married Shirley Togni on 13th July 1963 at St Mary’s Church, Benfleet
This is a photo of my Mother and Father’s wedding. You are correct , it took place at St Mary’s church in Benfleet on 13th July 1963. My Mother was Shirley Ann Togni, of ‘Helvetia’ May avenue Canvey. She was the Daughter of Oliver and Gladys Togni (standing next to her on the photo) . Shirley owned the Island Florist on the High Street, Canvey. Gladys owned Ivy’s Woolshop on Furtherwick Road, Canvey . My Father, Brian Charles Castle, of Queens Road, Benfleet, was the Younger Son of Wilfred and Gwendoline Castle . They are standing next to Brian in the photo (he also had an older brother – Peter). Brian was a Building contractor from Benfleet. He was the ‘son’ in W Castle & Son Building Contractors.
