The Haystack area was flooded to a depth of 6 inches. No date on this one. We suspect it might be from the surface flood of 1968.

This looks pretty much after the rain had subsided . I was at William Read School at the time and the water was still pretty deep from Kings through to Long Road when school restarted in the September , having to wade through Mornington Rd etc to get to the High Street .
