These photos taken by Jackson’s of Canvey were lent to us by Phyllis Owens. They are taken in about 1960/61 and are of the ATC’s Annual Inspection. The top picture was published in one of our local papers. If you can add any names please comment below.

Re A.T.C parade. First picture–cadet on left is Higgins[can’t remember first name] Next is John Alterman. Fouth is John Clavio. Second picture–Second from left is Seamus Mcdermott. Third is Wright ,sorry no first name. Third picture is not Don Tidiman but Allan Ware. Regards Sparrow
I wish I could name more of these lads. I remember Seamus and another called Eddie Youlton. I was in the hall one evening waiting for mum and dad and I happened to mention that there were loads of apples in our garden. naturally the boys thought this was a great and insisted on taking me scrumping. We were nearly caught by my grandfather and rushed back to the hall.
