Could they be Pantile and Lovens?

Just found Panhole and Lovis in Dowds Cyclopaedia.

Lovis - derivation : ditto; history : a vil (presumably a tiny hamlet of Fm cots [Lovens]) derivation : lowest pt of CI [hence also known as Sunken Marsh] alias Small Gains. Bt under this n in 1900 fm Richard Harrison by a Mr. Foster.

Panhole - derivation : A-S salt-pan nr Denham Rd; history : a ‘village’ (more likely just a cluster of dwellings) mentioned in ‘Rivers of Great Briatin’ in 1897 as being between Knightswick & ‘Lovis’ (Lovens) - so obviously not Pantiles.

So I was half right
