Now, 25 years later you can explore the archive online, see the pictures, update the information and make your mark on this fascinating record of our collective history.

The whole of the UK – including the Channel Islands and Isle of Man – was divided into 23,000 4x3km areas called Domesday Squares or “D-Blocks”.

Part but not all of Canvey was included, unfortunately the East- Leigh Beck end of the Island was not included. The following links will take you to the two D-Blocks covering the rest of the Island.
