Lion Joined Spectators at the Circus

While 1,000 people were watching a circus at Canvey Island yesterday, a lion escaped from his cage and ran among the audience under the big top.
He got under the seats, was chased out and ran across the ring, out through the performer’s entrance and round the field outside. He was eventually caught and locked up by two officials.
