The Archive was saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Gower last week. A great story-teller and enthusiastic promoter of Canvey memories through all forms of media, Bill embodied the true Canvey community spirit. We are grateful we were able to record his memories spiced with so many entertaining anecdotes.
