I have had this photo for ages. Not sure if I have put it on here before but when I saw the same picture for sale (a poor copy) on ebay it reminded me to look for it. Any ideas where on Canvey this was taken?

I’m inclined to agree with you Dave. Can’t think of any other right-hand bend like that on Canvey. Definitely can see the outline of the ‘Downs’ and I think that’s Creek House,very vague on the left of the photo.

IF it is Canvey then it would be after 1924 as there are telephone lines.
The car is registered to West Ham before 1929

According to Hulton Archives who have this image on getty it is dated 1923 and it is Canvey.

I think the tall man on the right carrying a jacket is my father. If you have any information about this photo I would be very interested. I have a collection of photos he took on Canvey in the 1920s
