John is the one on the top of the pyramid

Top photo; Base of pyramid: l-r Robert Barret, Ray Mitchell, Tony Hurd. 2nd row : ? Peter Spill. At a recent archive meeting I met a guy called Terry Meacher who said he was always chosen for the top of the pyramid and it frightened him to death every time but I don’t think it’s him in this one the top boy looks too happy. 2nd photo Can only recognise Peter Hamblin (5th from right). Names that should be inc Robert & Graham Barrett, Roger Crisp, Michael Vincent.
That’s me on top,I guess I was the smallest. I only remember one name, Tony Hurd. I used to go to school with him at Rayleigh Tech.
Tony Hurd is my brother – in – law he remembers John Devonald & his family.
