Every year Dr Feelgood manager Chris Fenwick holds a memorial gig at the Oysterfleet Hotel in memory of Lee Brilleaux. All proceeds go to 'Havens Hospice at Home'. This year the event was held on Friday 8th May 2009. Normally the day starts with a walk around Canvey Island but due to the very poor weather conditions, Chris did a talk in the Oysterfleet on Dr Feelgood instead. After the talk we went to the Canvey Club located at Smallgains corner and had a drink and chat.

Later some of us went to the Lobster Smack Inn at Holehaven and had a drink and something to eat. As the weather had improved we then decided to walk along the Sea Wall past Thorney Bay to the Labworth Cafe.

At 8pm the Bands started performing at the Oysterfleet Hotel where the sell out crowd had a great time.
