My brother Alan used to work for Billy Wells at the weekends and during school summer holidays. We lived in Meynell Avenue, quite near to the seafront and sometimes Alan would come home for lunch on one of the horses, which would then be tethered to the tree outside our bungalow! Lovely memories.

That pony looks like Gipsy. The first pony I looked after when I worked for Billy Wells. If it was the year would be 1952 as she died in the 1953 floods.
