My Childhood

As a small girl my family 2 big brothers and one little sister and me were brought to Canvey every year for our family hoilday by mum and dad !!!! Magic times, then Canvey seemed a million miles away from our home in Catford se London.

Yes, a true bucket and spade holiday. The beach with its paddling pool, not forgetting the punch and judy man!!! the cafe with its jugs of tea !!! carnival time, sitting waving our flags !!!! the model village, the pony / horse rides, the casino with its rides. I remember the wild mouse, the helter skelter, dodgems …could go on forever ….magic !!!!!!!

This was my dream place for 14 years !!!!
